Open Natural Gas publishes every Georgia natural gas marketer's filed rate in one table, so the plans can be compared like for like without asking a salesperson.

What it is

Every rate here comes from the Georgia Public Service Commission's monthly Marketers Pricing Index, the filing each certificated marketer makes every month. The site carries every marketer on the chart, not a selection, and has done so back to January 2019. Plans are ordered by estimated annual cost using the Commission's own apples-to-apples assumptions: the rate at the PSC's usage figure, plus twelve monthly customer service charges, plus the Atlanta Gas Light base charge every Georgia customer pays. The Georgia Public Service Commission does not rank or endorse marketers.

How it is paid for

No marketer pays to appear here, to rank higher, or to be linked, and none can. There is no paid placement, there are no leads for sale, and there are no affiliate links. The site is built and paid for by adPharos, a marketing agency at 3350 Riverwood Parkway, Suite 1900, Atlanta, GA 30339, and offered free to the public.

How it stays current

An automated job reads the PSC's published charts each month, parses them and republishes the tables. It refuses to publish a month whose parse fails its checks, rather than guess, and any refused month is listed rather than quietly skipped. Every page states the month it is showing, and a banner appears once the newest published month is more than 45 days old.
