Terms of use
Effective October 1, 2026. These terms cover the website at opennaturalgas.org and the plugin server at mcp.opennaturalgas.org, including use through ChatGPT and Claude. Both are built and paid for by adPharos, 3350 Riverwood Parkway, Suite 1900, Atlanta, GA 30339. Questions go to [email protected] or the contact page. What either one collects is on the privacy page.
What this is
Open Natural Gas publishes Georgia natural gas marketer rates filed with the Georgia Public Service Commission, plus pages that explain those filings. It does not sell natural gas, enroll customers, or take applications. It is not a marketer and it is not a broker. The Georgia Public Service Commission does not rank or endorse marketers. This site is not affiliated with, operated by, or approved by the Commission. It is not operated or endorsed by OpenAI or Anthropic. It is not directed at children under 13.
The plugin
The plugin answers the same questions inside ChatGPT or Claude. It is read-only. It does not enroll you, take an application, or sell you gas. The host's own terms also apply to the chat. We do not control how the model phrases an answer beyond the data the tool returns. If the model's sentence and the tool result disagree, the tool result controls, and if that disagrees with the PSC chart it links to, the chart is right. Do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, or copies of a bill through the plugin.
Not a quote, and not advice
Nothing on the website or in a plugin answer is legal, financial, or energy-purchasing advice, and nothing is an offer you can accept. A ranking is a like-for-like comparison under the formula on the methodology page, using the Commission's usage assumption unless the caller supplies annual usage, not a quote for your house. If you enroll, your contract is with the marketer, on that marketer's terms. Confirm the rate, the term, the service charge, and the early termination fee with the marketer before you enroll.
Advertised rates
Some website pages show a rate a marketer advertised, separate from the rate it filed. Those pages say so. Advertised rates never move a ranking. The plugin reports the filed rate. The marketer may have changed or withdrawn an advertised offer, and this site cannot honor it.
Links off the site
Sign-up links go to the marketer's own website. They are not affiliate links, and the site is paid nothing if you enroll. Once you leave, that company's terms and privacy policy apply. The same is true of links to the Commission, to adPharos, and to the site's social accounts: we do not control those sites.
The rate archive
The parsed rate archive, meaning history.csv, rates.json, rates.md, the tables built from them, and the same figures returned by the plugin, is released under CC0 1.0. You may copy it, publish it, and use it, including commercially, with no permission and no attribution required. A filing's facts are not ours to license. CC0 does not let you present a copy as this site, as a marketer, as the Commission, or as OpenAI or Anthropic, and it does not relicense the Commission's own PDFs. Those stay on the Commission's site.
The rest of the site
Guides, blog posts, and the other explanation pages are published so you can read them. You may quote them if you link back to the page you quoted. The supported way to take the data is the archive above, or the plugin, not a crawl that knocks the site over for everyone else.
How it is paid for
No marketer pays to appear, to rank higher, or to be linked, and none can. There are no leads for sale. There are no ads on the website and none in the plugin. If ads are ever turned on, they will not affect rankings, and this page will be updated before they run.
Errors and availability
The website and the plugin are a free resource. A parse can be wrong, a filing can be late, and a page or the plugin server can be down. If the plugin cannot load the current data, or detects that it is stale or malformed, it returns an error rather than guess. We correct errors we are told about. We do not promise that either one will be complete, current, or available, or that using it will produce a particular result.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, adPharos is not liable for a decision you make from these pages or from a plugin answer, for what a host model adds to a tool result, for a marketer's offer or conduct, or for loss from the website or the plugin being wrong or unavailable. Where a state does not allow a limit like that, the limit applies only as far as it legally can.
Changes
We may update these terms by editing this page, and the privacy page by editing that one. The date at the top is the date of the current terms. The privacy page will be updated before any new collection starts.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules.
